amazingly profound

I heard something on the radio a few days to a week or two back that I've pondered in the back of my head for the past while. The lady that we being interviewed said that in regards to love, it is great to enjoy being around someone and a definite must to like that person. However, it is much more important that you like who you are when you are around that person. They should bring out the best parts of you and make even your worst parts a bit more bearable. At the time, it struck me as odd, but making sense. The longer that has passed, the more accurate this description of love seems. Thinking about love this way really makes you stop and re-assess relationships, past and current.
